I have like a way to helping the WWOOF in Chile, I show all my organic contacts to everybody who ask its. If you want you may put my address like WWOOF Chile free list. I happy you do that. My list is very short, only 10 farms, but I hope get up in next time. In Chile the people need more confidence to go into WWOOF. It is incredible the difference with anglo countries. The web page is in preparing by long time. I do not want expend money in that yet. Any question or help of me please tell me. A lot greeting to yours, Gaston Fernandez, WWOOF Chile

Gaston originally offered a Chilean WWOOF list back 2003 after visiting WWOOF New Zealand. WWOOF Chile re-launched on 25th September 2007. Website launched. |

I am in organic farming almost all my life. I have been living in Austria for almost ten years where WWOOF is very well known and where I have also had first contacts with the Austrian organization. Organic farming in Croatia has grown in the last years and is more and more popular each day. Croatian government has also discovered multiple advantages of it, since Croatia has no strong industry and is therefore very clean. Very often families sell their property in towns and head to the country where they buy farms - running them strictly organic. We also have some fairs in Croatia thru the year where only organic products are presented.
Kindest regards.

David has been WWOOFing on and off since 1996. David and Alexandra dream to live on an organic farm in the near future to follow on with their support of the ecological movement. Believe in the WWOOF ethos and the benefits it brings to hosts and WWOOFers, both practically and wholistically.
|
David and Alex looked in to running a WWOOF group after visiting WWOOF New Zealand January 2004. Set up www.wwoof.fr in 2006. Have a membership system in place for hosts and WWOOFers. Began with a printed book, membership and access is now also available online. Will become an independent national WWOOF group once Independents stops listing French hosts at the end of 2007
January 2008 became an Independent WWOOF organisation. |

I am interested in WWOOF for Jamaica because we at the Source Farms are seeking a more structured method of interacting with people who are interested in our eco-village and our various ongoing projects. The Source Farm Foundation works with communities in several Community Development activities and several include organic farming opportunities. We would like to act as a conduit to bring interested parties directly to the farmers. My specific experience with organic farming and community development is the founding of City to Farm Connect in Philadelphia. There, I connected grade and high school students to farmers in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania to do work projects. In Philadelphia my restaurant hosted a yearly farmers market. I also Founded the Philadelphia Yam Festival: An Urban Harvest Festival 2000-2005. We organize and bring students from Temple University and West Chester University to do Service Learning Projects in St. Thomas, Jamaica. I work closely with the Ministry of Agriculture -Rural Agricultural Development Agency (RADA) in placing students in various sites for their course work. The Source Farm is an eco-village and organic farming is one of our mandates. I hope this information was helpful and shows my experience and level of commitment to food, farmers and promoting healthy living. Peace and Blessing Nicola Shirley

Plans for starting a WWOOF group in Sierra Leone has very good.
It has not been an easy task at all. It took me a lot of time, money and effort to come so far at this point. The identification of potential hosts is now complete, after vigorous, processes including investigations, interviews, screening and background checks of all applicant hosts.
Another good thing about it all again is that, I have registered it with government as a local national NGO volunteering organization. Its a dream that has come true.
I need whatever advice you may have for me again to help me go ahead.
Regards, Shed Jah

About me: Studied art at the University of Fine Arts. Techniques taught in schools, agriculture and Lavalleja Florida in Uruguay at the University of Labor. In 2003 trip to New Zealand known organic farms and discovered the WWOOFing finding that is a good system for the relationship of individuals to establish a deeper relationship that the labor contract. In 2006 trip to Spain for a scholarship to a residence of art and I was very hard to contact organic orchards. I am currently developing the station in art and environmental science "7 seams" Uruguay exist on some 500 establishments organic but there is nothing that lets you connect to people with these establishments why I On the need for the wwoof in uruguay I would like to help achieve this. Thank you greetings Gustavo Favaro
