This list began as WWOOF Australia's world wide list of independent hosts in 1987 to encourage more WWOOFing in those countries without a national organisation. Today it is managed by an international association of WWOOF organisations. Members have been asking to have an option of both the printed WWOOF book AND online access. The printed book is good when internet access is not available and of course you can be read about the hosts any time - in a bus or in a train, or in a tent in the rain! Online gives you user friendly features such as member profiles, photos, mapping, forum etc.
WWOOFERS offer help, energy and time on farms and other sustainable projects. In return you have hands on learning experiences using biological practices. Food and accommodation is provided and you usually live with the host family. WWOOFers like the idea of being able to give something back to their country or the country they are travelling in. To preview hosts click on the map above. If you have what it takes to be a WWOOFer then register as a WWOOF volunteer.
WWOOF Hosts share knowledge and experiences about organics. Hosts you provide meals and safe, dry accommodation. An important part of the WWOOF stay is the cultural awareness that naturally happens when living together and helping each other. WWOOF hosts enjoy the world coming to them. Any host in a country with no national WWOOF Organisation can be listed with us and if you feel you can offer what is required then become a WWOOF Host.

To learn how we can positively contribute to the land and especially integrate ourselves into a new culture. - Robert and Gabbi (Switzerland). We are also interested in the idea of an exchange involves living within a local community. - Sara and Alex (USA). Expand our experience with organic gardening and work with Bio Dynamic principles by working with people who are using them to grow crops and fruit and nuts. Also interested to learn about bee keeping. - Brad and Martha (USA). To live and learn the organic way. To share life experiences with wonderful people. To expand my horizons by traveling to new places and being inspired by the variety of culture.
